Dear Women who are Praying,
There are so many wonderful scriptures God has made available to us to pray over people or ourselves. One of my favorite is Ephesians 6:19-20:
“And pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel for which I am in chains, that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak”.
I take all the pronouns pertaining to me and place someone’s name in its place. I ask God that His Word promises boldness and that my friend needs it! The Spirit always leads when you use scripture in prayer. Remember there are 6 parts to the armor of God we are to put on daily, but then Paul reminds us of the 7th part of our armor is PRAYER!!!
Use the sword of the spirit, the Word of God in your prayer times. Open the precious Word, start reading, seeking and see where and how the Holy Spirit will direct you to specific scriptures He wants you to pray for yourself, the brethren, your family, friends, country. Your list will be limitless and your prayer time will be so impactful. You will come away saying, “I have just experienced a moment with God”.
I leave you with this prayer that I pray over all of you, my sisters in the Lord: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the unsurprising greatness of His power toward us who believe” Eph. 1:18-19
Try it! I challenge you to be bold in your prayer time. You will be amazed how your life will be forever changed.
Loving each of you for your devotion,
Sharon
