21 Day Fast and Prayer
Throughout Scripture, when the people of God longed for renewal, breakthrough, or direction, they prayed and fasted. Prayer brings us into the presence of God and aligns our hearts with His will, while fasting exposes our dependence on Him and intensifies our hunger for His work among us. We’re not trying to earn something from God, we’re grabbing hold of Him.
For 21 days, we’re setting aside comfort to seek the Lord together, to starve the flesh and feast on the presence of God. Throughout history, moves of God have been preceded by humble men and women who prayed, repented, and cried out for renewal. Our desire is simple: that God would revive His people, awaken our mission, and pour out His life in our church, our community, and the nations.
What We’re Praying For:
1. Repentance (Neh. 1:4-7; Joel 2:12-13)
Throughout Scripture, repentance always precedes revival. We’re asking God to search our hearts, expose sin, and draw us back into wholehearted devotion to Jesus.
2. Renewal & Strengthening of the Church (Neh. 2:17-18; Eph. 4:11-16)
We’re praying that God would strengthen His people and build His church among us. As we step into two services, we’re asking the Spirit to awaken every believer to their calling in the body and mission of Christ. Our prayer is God would pour out His Spirit and we would see a movement of God in our generation.
3. Hunger for God & Fresh Encounter (Ps. 27:4; Acts 2:1-4; 4:31)
We’re asking God to awaken deeper hunger for His presence. Our prayer is for fresh encounters with the living God and lives marked by deep gospel conviction.
4. A Church Sent on Mission (Acts. 13:2-3; Matt. 28:18-20)
In Acts 13 the church fasted and prayed as the Spirit sent them on mission. We’re asking God to make us a praying, holy, missionary people who boldly share the gospel.
5. Salvation in Our Community (Matt. 5:14-16; Luke 19:10)
We’re praying for our neighbors and our island, that the light of Christ would push back darkness and many would turn to Jesus. Our prayer is to see the lost found and lives transformed by the gospel.
6. America & The Nations (1 Tim. 2:1-4; Ps. 2:8)
We’re praying for our country and for the nations of the world in a time of great tension. We’re asking God to protect believers, strengthen His church globally, and advance the hope of Christ among the nations.

We also always need donations of brownies or cookies for the meals. Those can be dropped off at church that morning or by 3:30pm that afternoon!

Children's Ministry Highlight & Key Passage
This month's key passage is:
"For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
After church on Sunday, ask your child(ren) what they learned or show them this picture as a prompt to help them recall the story. It's a great way to reinforce their spiritual learning and encourage family discussion at home.
If you have any questions or would like to get involved in Children's Ministry, please contact Mike H., 808-754-3107.
